In at the moment’s episode of “On the Margin” Weekly Roundup, Michael Ippolito and Mark Yusko lined two large subjects: the fallout of Wednesday’s FOMC assembly, and the announcement that the White Home is cracking down on crypto as a matter of “nationwide safety.”
They kicked issues off with one in all my favourite charts of all time, the S&P going again to 1926 superimposed over each motive buyers needed to promote, which helps present some perspective.
Subsequent they lined what the market is pricing in by way of fee hikes for 2022, and the probability that the Fed will comply with by way of on their hawkish rhetoric, then shifting on to actual yields and gold’s complicated response, the flattening yield curve, and the precipitous rise within the DXY.
In addition they lined:
